Route 66 Main Street in Tulsa is proud to announce the organization has chosen recipients to share in PatriotFest 2019 proceeds. Northeastern Oklahoma organizations working with veterans or advancing veterans causes were considered to receive a portion of the proceeds generated from PatriotFest. 2019 PatriotFest Grant Applications Open

TULSA – Organizers of PatriotFest have opened the application process for veterans’ groups to receive grants from the event’s 2019 proceeds. PatriotFest is held leading up to Memorial Day in Southwest Tulsa and is organized by Route 66 Main Street. It brings together thousands to celebrate brave Americans who have answered the call of duty.

Shouting out a big THANK YOU to BNSF for the grant Route 66 Main Street received recently. The Cherokee Yard operated by BNSF occupies a major presence along our approximately 4.2 mile long corridor. A bit of trivia for the railway buffs out there: the Cherokee Switching Yard is known for its a "hump yard"

26 Miles Across Tulsa…..

We toured Old Route 66, yesterday, as it crosses 26 miles of Tulsa, stopping at some interesting and great places along the way. Thank you to all the Route 66 Commission travelers who laughed and chatted along the way and a special thank you to all who welcomed us.
